William Lewis

“William Lewis is Dean of the Pacific Coast University, School of Law located at 1650 Ximeno Avenue in Long Beach. He is a graduate with distinction from that University and is a member of the State Bar of California.

William has been a Law Professor at the University since 1988 teaching courses in Civil Procedure, Property Law and Professional Responsibility. He was elevated to Dean of the University in 1999.

William is also a three time graduate of California State University, Long Beach, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1969, Master of Arts in Biology in 1973 and his Masters in Business Administration in 1979.

William has held a variety of managerial positions in the Long Beach area including Program Administrator for the Long Beach Paramedic Program (1973 – 1975), Director of the St. Mary Medical Center Foundation (1975 – 1978), Director of Risk Management and Safety at St. Mary Medical Center (1979 – 1987), Attorney In Charge of various legal departments of the State Compensation Insurance Fund since 1991 including the Long Beach Legal Department of the State Fund from 2001 to 2009 when he retired from active practice to devote his full time efforts to the continuing growth and development of Pacific Coast University.”
