Larry Hohl

Mr. Larry Hohl is the Campus President of Universal Technical Institute in Long Beach, Calif. and since July 2015, a member of the UTI Foundation Board of Directors. Hohl manages a variety of campus teams, ongoing financials, community outreach, industry relationships and regulatory compliance. Additionally, he monitors the campus community to make sure it’s not only a great place to work for Long Beach employees, but also one where everyone is empowered to achieve UTI’s mission of “changing the world, one life at a time.”

Before joining UTI in 2009, Hohl spent more than 30 years on a career in business serving in executive positions for Fortune 500 companies like IBM, Procter & Gamble, Pepsico and Nike.

When Hohl joined UTI he initially served as president of the Dallas campus, where he helped build the facility from the ground up. Hohl was then asked to serve as the interim president of the Sacramento campus, and later as vice president of Manufacturer and Employer Relations based at the UTI headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz. In that role, Hohl demonstrated leadership and innovation while building relationships with major auto, diesel, motorcycle and marine manufacturers to develop curriculum that includes custom training programs for students – something that differentiates UTI in the industry to this day.

Hohl was born in Indiana and moved to Arizona as a child. He attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., and earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Arizona State University, where he graduated cum laude.
