Frank Martinez

Throughout his 26 year industry career, Mr. Martinez has lead diverse teams of professionals in the design, construction and real estate marketplace.

As President of Project Development for SASCO Electric, he provides leadership and strategic planning for each of the company’s five worldwide offices. Prior to this, Mr. Martinez served as Executive Vice President for Griffin Structures, Inc., a leading program and construction management firm in Orange County where he was responsible for all business lines for the company including community outreach, business development, strategic planning, and
public relations.

Mr. Martinez currently serves as President for the Long Beach Water Department’s Board of Commissioners after being appointed to the Board by former Mayor, Bob Foster and confirmed by the Long Beach City Council. He replaces former Commissioner Frank Clarke. He becomes the 61st Long Beach citizen to serve on the Board.

Mr. Martinez is a member of several associations including the Association of California Water Authorities; American Public Works Association; Construction Management Association of America, and the California Parks & Recreation Society. He also serves as Co-Chair of the CSU Long Beach Construction Engineering and Management Department Advisory Board. Frank lives in east Long Beach with his 2nd generation Long Beach native wife Teri and their son, Sean (a Santa Clara University graduate and EY auditor) and daughter Catie (a UC San Diego graduate and Engineering Sales Associate).
