David Malmuth

 David Malmuth is a Managing Director based in the Los Angeles office of RCLCO.  He founded and directs the Development Services Group (DSG).  His work draws upon his 20-year career as a development principal with completed projects valued in excess of $1 billion.  Recent DSG projects include Grand Avenue in Los Angeles, College Square in New Haven, Centene Plaza in St. Louis, and City Center in Las Vegas.

Prior to joining RCLCO in February 2003, David was Senior Vice President at TrizecHahn Development Corporation.  During his six-year tenure, he was the key project executive on Hollywood & Highland, a $615 million retail/entertainment/hotel complex.  He also initiated the development of Paseo Colorado in Pasadena, California.  David previously held executive positions at Disney Development Company (where he directed the renovation of the New Amsterdam Theater on 42nd Street in New York City) and McCarthy Building Companies.

David is a frequent speaker on topics ranging from urban mixed-use development to pubic-private partnerships.  He is a member or the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves on that group’s Policy and Practice Committee.  He is also a founding board member of Disney Goals, a nonprofit entity that provides underserved youth with positive options through sports (such as ice hockey), academic training, and community service.  David is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
