Straight Talk will be on summer hiatus during August, and will use the opportunity to replay two of the most popular shows.
The first is an interview with noted historian and award-winning author Douglas Brinkley, who will discuss the evolution of the American presidency with particular focus on President Obama and how his election changed the course of American history. Brinkley is the history commentator for CBS News, and six of his books have been selected as New York Times “Notable Books of the Year.”
The show will air in Long Beach and 40 surrounding cities on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17 at 9am and 7pm on LBTV 3 and FiOS 21 and at 10am and 8pm on Charter Channel 188.

The second show is an interview with Admiral Eric Olson, former Commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command. He was in charge at the time of the successful operation to locate and eliminate Osama bin Laden. A retired 4-Star Navy admiral and 38-year Navy SEAL, Olson will share some of his experiences in training and leading special operations forces in a variety of high risk missions. This show will air the weeks of August 23, August 30 and September 5.
Straight Talk no longer airs on Charter Channel 101 but has moved to Charter Channel 188. Broadcast days and times all remain the same.
