Making a name for itself at the corner of PCH and Loynes Drive is the newest restaurant in the neighborhood shopping center, Picarelli’s Cucina Italiana. Owner Joe Picarelli has graced the Long Beach restaurant scene since 1974. Along with his family, Joe has owned and operated several Cirivello’s locations before opening Picarelli’s at its first location in 2004.

Joe has maintained some of his family’s original menu items that locals have grown to love over the years, and has also added some new dishes that are sure to become favorites.

Appetizers range from the unique grilled shrimp in mint sauce with feta cheese to the traditional caprese and antipasto.

Entrees range from stone fired thin-crust pizza to pastas in traditional sauces or unique tri-tip meat sauce or tomato-chopped checca. The menu also offers delicious specialty chicken, meat and
seafood dishes.

Picarelli’s atmosphere is reminiscent of an “old world” outdoor Italian venue, with rooflines and balconies overlooking the tables and wine bar. There is also outside dining on the front patio. Open daily for dinner and Tuesday through Sunday for lunch.

Picarelli’s prides itself on creating new ways to bring the cherished tastes of Italy to the locals of Long Beach.

Located at 6240 E. Pacific Coast Hwy. For reservations, call (562) 986-5280.
