Blake Christian is a CPA, specializing in corporate and business consulting and tax planning.  Blake also provides services to high-net-worth individual taxpayers. 

Blake is a Tax Partner in the Long Beach office of Holthouse, Carlin & Van Trigt LLP, a full-service CPA firm with seven Southern California offices, 29 partners and over 250 total professionals and support staff.  Two of their seven offices are in Enterprise Zones.

Prior to joining the firm, Blake was a tax partner with the international accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick and also served as Tax Director with a Fortune 500 corporation.

Blake has over 29 years experience.  He received a master's degree in taxation from the University of Southern California and completed a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University Long Beach.
Blake is a monthly tax columnist for the AICPA Corporate Tax Insider Newsletter (national distribution of over 80,000) and a regular contributor to the Long Beach Business Journal’s “Dollars & Sense” as well as numerous other publications.  He is also a regular guest on CNN Local News.  He has lectured at a number of universities, including University of Southern California (MBT Program) and California State University Long Beach (Annual Tax Conference) as well as various business and tax forums throughout the country.  Blake has also been a technical resource for a number of news organizations, including USA Today, Los Angeles Times, KTLA News, KNX NewsRadio, KFI Radio and various Business Journals.

Blake is a member of the Tax Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Cal Chamber Tax Committee. and the Tax Section of the State Bar of California.  Blake was honored as “2010 – 2011 Rotary Businessman of the Year” for District 5320 (over 2,200 members), received one of five state-wide “2007 Small Business Advocate of the Year” awards from the California Chamber of Commerce.  Blake serves, and has served, on numerous community boards including, 2008 Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman, 2011-2012 President-Elect of Long Beach Rotary, former Vice-Chairman of the (post-bankruptcy) Orange County Treasury Advisory Committee, Long Beach Assistance League, Long Beach Symphony Corporate Circle, member of the City of Long Beach "Red Team" (Boeing C-17 project) and the city's Checkered Flag Team (automotive industry economic development).  Blake is also the Long Beach Business Catalyst for Vision360 (www.vision360.org), an Orlando based international church planting organization.
